I’ve been asking around to see if anyone knows of an alternative to TwitterFeed and no one responded. Today I finally found something and it is working GREAT! It’s called dlvr.it and it’s FREE!
For those of you who don’t use TwitterFeed or Dlvr.it then you are missing out. Every time you make a new blog post these two sites can automatically post to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. But, with Dlvr.it you have many other options as well like Tumblr, Myspace and a few other ones. Plus if your content relates to other facebook or twitter accounts that you have then you can link to those with the same feed. Of course if you have more than 1 blog you can have them directed where you want to go as well.
Why Did I Want an Alternative?
I wanted to find a TwitterFeed alternative because they just haven’t been performing. I have a site where I put out say 5 posts within a 1/2 hour and some show up, but most don’t even after forcing it to look immediately for new posts. It’s a HUGE problem for me as that site is dependent upon my social media accounts.
I just thought that if I had problems, then maybe others have had them too so thought I would share my new finding with you all ![]()
Thanks for reading and be sure to leave a comment below and share with your favorite social media sites.

sounds interesting Linda!
Hadn’t heard about Dlvr.it, or perhaps I use other things like Timely, Buffer, and MarketMeSuite that are a good combination for sending out my tweets at different time intervals. But yes, it does have a good option for Tumlbr and Myspace that isn’t there in the others.
Thanks for sharing.

I never really heard of those sites you mention there. I don’t need to schedule my tweets so this is why I chose Dlvr.it.
I appreciate you taking the time to stop by, Harleena.
Talk to you soon!

Hi Linda,
I’ve heard of Dlvr.it but have never looked into it. Here is what I have learned about automatic feeds.
Sending them to Twitter is of course okay. But, if you send auto posts to your Facebook account, you aren’t going to have much activity from those. People know you aren’t on when those are being sent so they are more likely to get ignored. I stopped sending auto posts to my Facebook account months ago. I’ve seen much more interaction now on my wall since stopping that.
Twitter also doesn’t like you only sending auto tweets. Of course I’m sure you already know all of this so since I’m online working all day, I schedule my tweets as I sit here and work and I put a timer on to remind me to send another one. Hey, I do want people to actually see my tweets and I’m learned that it really does benefit me this way much more.
Thanks for this shout though because having an alternative is always helpful.

Adrienne recently posted..What Is Posting On Purpose For Profit
Hi Adrienne,
I needed to find an alternative for a different business. This is for my freebiesndeals.com site. Yesterday alone I added over 75 coupons and deals and in the past with Twitterfeed there would be days when I posted maybe 5 things through out the day and not one of them ever made it out, even after clicking the button to check for new posts, yet my feed was correct. I got really ticked and had to find an alternative and I do believe now it was on bit.ly’s end, but I didn’t know this before.
So, I have it set up that it will post 5 items every hour with a maximum of 50 a day, which is what is allowed at Twitter. I can’t use the scheduling feature as that is not what my site is about – it’s very different from a blog or anything else. This is what my customers expect. Also, I am on facebook every time I am working to see if things are going through correctly and to let them know I am busy adding new coupons and such
I like dlvr.it. It shows me how many followers or unfollowers I have had in 24 hours, how many clicks I had in 24 hours and how many posts I made. So, yesterday alone, I had 12 new followers, 175+ clicks and 75 posts or something like that…very impressive
I did also see they have a place to schedule a tweet if needed. So, far I like this much better than Twitterfeed, plus it uses it’s own url shortener.
Anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to give me your feedback.
Enjoy the weekend!

Hi Linda,
I also hadn’t heard of Divr.it but can relate to concerns with Twitterfeed. I’ve been finding that it has started sending just to bit.ly link to Facebook instead of the start of my blog comments and quite often I’ve had to go back and delete the feed.
I’ll have a look into Divr.it, thanks for digging it out and letting us know

Hi Barry,
I really like dlvr.it – they are very similar to twitterfeed but without the problems. Have had ongoing twitterfeed problems for some time now and this particular company uses it’s own url shortener and I love the fact that it shows me how many follwers or unfollowers I have had in 24 hours, how many clicks, etc. Plus you can still send out messages on a schedule if you choose to go that route.
So far no problems all is working great
Thanks for stopping by I will be over to visit you very soon!
Hope your weekend is going GREAT!

Hi Linda,
I have been using Dlvr.it like 8 months now and I am glad you later found it very useful
Thanks.
Hi Valentine!
Welcome to my blog!
I am loving Dlvr.it so far – love all the extra features and no problems with anything. Have had ongoing problems with TwitterFeed for many months and it was high time I went out there and found an alternative.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and hope your weekend is going GREAT!

Hi Linda,
Nice to be here at your blog. I’ve just started to get back into blogging again. It’s been a while, a few upsets. After just writing my current blog post and getting a least one comment Twitterfeed says it can’t pharse my feed???
Anyway I went to Twitterfeed’s help section and I put my feed through a feed validator as they stated I should do and it states the feed is validated with a few recommendations, well I’m not about to start changing html around if I don’t know what I’m doing.
I have this feeling its only going to make things worse. I sent Twitterfeed an email 6 or 7 days ago for help to my problem…No response.
Thanks for sharing this with us Linda, it gives me a Twitterfeed alternative. Catch you again later,

Hi Terry,
I am happy to have helped you once again
I have had problems with TwitterFeed for awhile now and so far I really like Dlvrt.It. What sets it apart is they use their own shortener and I think this is what Twitterfeed lacks. I just got tired of their nonsense and had to find something else. This new one you can track your clicks which I have seen a huge jump in compared to Twitterfeed, you can see how many posts you have made in the past 24 hours or 30 days, which probably won’t pertain to you, but you can also see how many people have followed you within 24 hours or unfollowed you and you can see which posts are the most popular. You can schedule tweets to go out at a certain time all within this free app – I love it so far. I am sure you will too. And there is an upgrade option if you want more exposure for your posts or articles.
Overall I am very pleased.
Hope this helps you out and I will be over to visit your updated blog shortly.

I used to use Dlvr.it until recently. I realized that sharing someone else’s content automatically for a long time can hurt the relationship (for each automated action, the perceived value of the action decreases, so it does, in a way hurt the relationship). Nowadays, I just share everything manually (although, I don’t do much with FB or LinkedIn).
Another reason for the removal is that when i tweeted those out, I didn’t always read those posts (hence, I don’t know if my followers will find that valuable or not).
Anyways, I still appreciate the post, Linda!
Thanks,

Hi Jeevan,
Welcome to my blog
I still use Twitterfeed for this blog, but for my other site I needed to find an alternative and dlvr.it is working. I am always at Twitter watching what goes out automatically – just a habit of mine to make sure things are not being duplicated because they were there for awhile and then I had to figure out why. Once I got that figured out then I was back in business, but yeah I like how it automatically posts to my FB and LinkedIn walls – it draws in more visitors than you may think.
I never realized that it can hurt a relationship by automating any sort of post, that is interesting.
I appreciate you stopping by and I will be over to visit your blog very soon

I have just begun my Twitter experiment – trying to get Twitter in the top ten referral traffic sources. I am also playing around with FB (I used to auto feed my Fan page with my own content – I felt that I had to do more, I am certainly planning to do something about that. Do you have any suggestions, from your experience, Linda? I want my fans to be more involved within the page.
Oh, it could as time passes on. Once the person realizes that we are automatically posting the article on twitter or any other social media sites, the value or respect given to each action decreases over time. But, we could counteract upon it by reading the post and leaving comments every now and then
As far as your Facebook fan page you can add content that relates to your niche – like YouTube videos or ask a question every day about something related or otherwise. Each time you post something that is not from your blog or auto-fed you can ask a question to go along with whatever it is that you post. It’s hard to get people to notice your feeds, as I have been finding out..but the more you can get to interact the more it will be seen by others, or so we hope

Interesting Linda.
I have been using Dlvr.it for 12+ months and it works really well. Actually I found it much better than twitterfeed or any other feed services.
Glad to know that you found Dlvr.it useful.

I agree, Dev – Dlvr.it is much better than Twitterfeed. I’ve had problems with twitterfeed so many times in the past, it was time to let them go and find something else. I do still use them for this blog, at the moment, but I will probably switch over after seeing all the benefits of it

Hey Linda,
I don’t know much about these kind of tools, the first one I was exposed, was Social Oomph and I got rid of that since the first ‘recommendation’ I got, was that I should automatically greet people whenever they added me on twitter.
Turned out that was something I should have never done so I stopped using it.
About TwitterFeed I started using that about a year ago I think (probably a bit less) and I was testing automated tweets at the moment but then again, I also stopped doing that and quit using the tool.
For Dlvr.it I think they are newer than TwitterFeed (don’t quote me on that because I have no idea) but I also believe they are a more robust tool than TwitterFeed.
I think I’m going back to using these because I am currently building several sites, each one with its own social media accounts and I am already scared of the updating scenario I’m going to face.
So thanks for showcasing these tools, I’ll be back really soon if I have any doubts on them.

Hey Sergio,
Why is it that you should never automatically greet people? Mine is still set up to do that with 4 different greetings that rotate. I haven’t been to my social oomph account in quite some time.
Dlvr.it has some really awesome features that I like. I haven’t switched this blog over there yet, but will be doing it shortly.
I think you will really like Dlvr.it vs. Twitterfeed for these sites you are building. If you have any questions, you know where to find me
Talk to you soon!
